Former Nursing Director Donates Masks

Edgecombe Community College student nurse Jocelyn Peters is taking safety precautions and wearing a mask during clinical training at ECC. Nursing programs are among those earmarked essential by Governor Roy Cooper. Kathy Williford, former director of Nursing programs at the College, has made and donated cloth masks for ECC nursing students and faculty to use in the simulation hospital in the Lamm Building on the Rocky Mount campus. Williford has made about 1,000 masks, which she has donated to nursing homes and other healthcare facilities.
