What is MyEdge?
When will the migration to Gmail take place? The migration will start April 9, 2008. All currently enrolled students for Spring 2008 will be first followed by new summer students. What will happen to all the emails currently in my Imail account? Students currently using Imail will need to move any e-mails you wish to keep to your new MyEdge e-mail account before July 30, 2008. On July 31, Imail will no longer exist. Why is this service offered? Student email provides the official communication conduit between the
College and students. This service was created to provide an e-mail account
for any student who wants it, especially those currently without access
to e-mail. Our goal is to provide a reliable, practical, secure, feature
rich web mail environment with limited banner advertisements. Functionality
includes providing faculty and staff lists to communicate with students
enrolled in specific classes or programs. What is the benefit of this service to instructors and their students? New features include: How do I get an e-mail account? A MyEdge account is created for you when you register for classes as an ECC student. How do I access this e-mail service? ECC student email system is available at https://mail.myedge.cc from
any place where you have access to the Internet and a web browser. How do I find out my user name for ECC e-mail? Click the What's My User Id link below and fill in the form. You must use your first full name and last full name as it appears on your college registration and you ECC student ID. How do I use MyEdge Gmail? Google has provided a demo of the Gmail system with clear instructions and explanations of all the included features.
