Stores are located on both the Rocky Mount and the Tarboro campuses. Textbooks, school supplies, sportswear, and other necessities are available at both ECC bookstores.

Dollars spent in ECC's Bookstores are used to provide scholarships & emergency student loans.

Bookstore pricing, policy, & procedures are operated under strict state guidelines and are audited each year.

If you are a distance learning student, you may choose your books from either booklist provided (Tarboro or Rocky Mount).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I get information about my textbooks?

Contact the Edgecombe Community College Bookstore at (252) 823-5166, ext. 217, or bookorders@edgecombe.edu to order your textbooks or receive information about your textbooks.

2. How can I find out the ISBN number of a particular text?

ISBN numbers and publisher information can be obtained from the ECC Booklist.

3. Can I buy used books?

Yes, if available.

4. Can I return a used book?

The only used books we accept are if you drop a course. You must bring your drop/add papers to the bookstore along with receipt indicating if it was purchased with Pell Grant, cash, credit card or any 3rd party agency. If books are worn, written in or soiled at all, of course, we only give partial credit. No credit can be given if the book is damaged excessively.

5. Do you have a book buyback program?

We have a book buyback at the end of each semester through an independent book company that comes to the Tarboro campus and Rocky Mount campus. The process is fairly easy. The ISBN number on the back of the text is scanned and a price is automatically quoted for that particular text.

6. Can the ECC bookstore purchase a book for me?

We only order books per instructor request for ECC classes.

7. What ways can I purchase a text book?

We accept cash, credit cards, and personal checks with proper ID. Of course, we have financial aid available through Student Services for those who qualify and third party agencies.
