Registering for Classes

  1. All students need to develop a schedule with their advisor.
  2. Payment of tuition and fee secures your spot in class. Prior to that time, your registration is not complete.
  3. After paying your tuition, you should receive a computerized printout of your class schedule. Use this for entry into your classes.
  4. Distance Learning.

Schedule Changes and Drop/Add

Before signing up for classes be certain that you’ve carefully planned your schedule with the help of your advisor. All subsequent changes in your schedule (drop/adds or section changes) must be adjusted during the first five school days of Fall and Spring semester and three days for Summer semester; and must be approved by the Student Services Department.

Withdrawal Policy

Students who choose to transfer or withdraw from the college during the semester should consult with the Vice-President of Student Services and a faculty advisor. This will protect the student's academic records, his/her right to re-enroll, and his right to transfer to another college. No student record will be released until his/her financial record is cleared.

Once a student has duly enrolled in a class and paid the registration fee, the student shall maintain membership in the class until one of the following occurs:

Student Withdrawal

1. A student must complete the official withdrawal forms. Withdrawal is effective as of the date the form is received in the Department of Student Services.

2. A student who officially withdraws during the first 25 percent of a semester is given grades of "WE" (withdrew early).

3. A student withdrawing after the 25 percent and before the 75 percent of the semester will receive grades of "WP" or "WF" as determined by the instructor. Students withdrawing after the 8th week will receive grades of "WF" regardless of class standings, unless the withdrawal is for unavoidable reasons. Exceptions must be approved by the Vice-President of Student Services. A "WP" will not be counted in the computations of a student's grade point average. The grade of "WF" will be used in the computations of a student's grade point average.

Administrative Withdrawal 1. The responsible instructional personnel are reasonably assured that the student does not intend to pursue the learning activities of the class or the student fails to meet the requirements established by the attendance policy.

2. The student completes the course requirements before the allotted time or transfers to another class with permission from the instructor and the Vice-President of Instruction.

3. A student may be withdrawn for improper conduct by the Vice-President of Student Services, the President, or their designated representative.
