Two lucky golfers might soon be driving a 2008 Honda CR-V EX 4-wheel drive or a 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible. These are the prizes for a hole-in-one at the Edgecombe Community College Foundation’s 22nd Annual Golf Tournament set for Thursday, September 20, at Maccripine Country Club in Pinetops. The 2008 Honda CR-V is being donated by Keihin Carolina System Technology in Tarboro. The 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible is being donated by Farris Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge in Rocky Mount. Other prizes also will be awarded. The Four-Person Modified Super Ball tournament is one of the more popular tournaments in eastern North Carolina. With both morning and afternoon flights, the annual tournament generates more than $22,000 toward ECC student scholarships. Serving on the 2007 golf tournament committee are Tommy Anderson, Karen Andrus, Jerome Creech, Bobby Daughtridge, Lee Edmondson, Charlie Harrell, Kenny Honeycutt, Dr. Deborah Lamm, George McFadyen, and Earl Marshall.
