ECC Foundation Awards Scholarships

 
The ECC Foundation awarded scholarships to about 100 ECC students during a recent awards ceremony. Scholarship amounts ranged from $100 to $3,000. Among the scholarships presented was the Berry L. Anderson Sr. Endowed Scholarship, which honors Berry Anderson, a founder of the college and member of its board of trustees for 19 years. Shown are scholarship recipient Erin Breeland and Tommy Anderson, son of Berry Anderson and retired vice president of student services at ECC. Breeland, who lives in Tarboro, is a college transfer student. The ECC Foundation awards about $75,000 in scholarship funds annually.
