Edgecombe County continues to experience devastating flooding following Hurricane Matthew. Many students and employees and their families have been displaced. They are living in shelters or with family members and friends, waiting to return to their homes to assess the damage. We don’t know how many in our Edgecombe Community College family have been affected, and we likely will not know the true impact on our College and our County for days, even weeks, to come.

If you would like to donate food and supplies to students and employees, please take your items to the shipping and receiving areas on either campus.

Needed items:

  • washcloths and towels
  • bottled water
  • diapers (adult and baby)
  • wipes
  • baby formula
  • blankets
  • cleaning supplies
  • personal hygiene products
  • non-perishable foods

Location and Contact:
Tarboro campus, McIntyre Building (shipping and receiving): Raymond Pachnar
Rocky Mount campus, Barnes Building (shipping and receiving): John Ward

The College also is accepting monetary donations for students and employees. Checks may be made out to Edgecombe Community College, with Matthew Fund written on the Memo line. Please mail or hand deliver a check to Charlie Harrell, Vice President of Administrative Services, McIntyre Building, Tarboro campus.

We ask for your continued prayers for our community. We are united in our hopes for the best.
