College Creates Advisory Boards

In an effort to receive input from the community, Edgecombe Community College recently created advisory boards for each of its academic programs. The college hosted its first annual Advisory Board Night on March 28. The event brought about 175 community leaders to campus to meet with department chairs and instructors. An advisory board was set up for 28 program areas of the college, such as business administration, cosmetology, and nursing. The goal of the advisory boards is to inform, advise, and assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating the programs and services of the college.
