You will not come to campus to receive your disbursement.
Summer 2014 semester financial aid funds are scheduled to be submitted to ECSI for disbursement on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Please note, it may take up to 24-hours for ECSI to complete the process and update their database. After that funds will be disbursed..
ECSI will email students at their MyEdge.cc email address with a user id and temporary password. By following the link in the email, students will have the option to receive their disbursement via prepaid card, check, or direct deposit. Failure to select an alternate option will result in a check being mailed to the address on file with Admissions. If you have previously received a disbursement through ECSI, the same method of disbursement you chose before will be used this time. No disbursements are made at the college.
ECSI, the company handling financial aid disbursements, will mail your prepaid card or check to the mailing address that we have on file for you. Therefore, it is critical that your mailing address be accurate. To verify your address, please call (252) 823-5166, ext. 255 or ext. 319, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
During fall and spring semesters, financial aid will not be disbursed for 2nd 8-week courses until after those classes have begun and enrollment has been verified.
Please keep in mind that any questions regarding financial aid disbursements should be directed to ECSI, not the ECC Financial Aid Office. Students should not contact ECSI until they have received a confirmation email.
Please note: If you were given emergency funds to hold your classes and to buy books, and you have not yet received an award letter for a Pell grant, you will not receive a disbursement because you do not yet have financial aid. You must see a financial aid counselor to complete the financial aid process to determine if you are eligible for a disbursement.
