Each year the Foundation hosts several fundraisers aimed at generating valuable scholarship dollars.
Annual Giving Campaign
This important annual campaign solicits the financial support of individuals, organizations, businesses, and industries in the community to sustain and strengthen scholarships, mini-grants, the Ambassador program, and other Foundation initiatives.
Beach Music Festival and Food Truck Rodeo (June 7, 2014)
Begin the beach music season at ECC! Beach music afficionados gather on the Tarboro campus to hear and dance to popular beach music bands and eat a variety of great food. A shag contest make this an especially fun day. Rain or shine. See photos from the 2013 Beach Music and BBQ Festival on Facebook.
Campus Fund Drive
ECC employees generate more than $10,000 each spring through the Campus Fund Drive.
Golf Tournament (29th Annual - September 18, 2014)
One of the more popular golf tournaments in eastern North Carolina, this fall tournament is a major fundraiser for the Foundation. The tournament, played at Maccripine Country Club in Macclesfield, has become one of eastern North Carolina's most highly regarded tournaments. With both morning and afternoon flights, this four-man superball tournament generates about $20,000 toward student scholarships.
Business After Hours
In an effort to reach out to as many supporters as possible, the Foundation sponsors a Business After Hours through the Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce or the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce. This is the Foundation's way of bringing area residents to the college and thanking them for their faithful contributions.
Scholarship Awards Ceremony
Endowed scholarships, as well as those from business and industry, clubs, and civic organizations, are awarded to students in the Mobley Atrium of the Fleming Building on the Tarboro campus. Family and friends are invited.
Donors of $250 or more are treated, each year, to an elegant party in a private home to thank them for their support.
