English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

The ESL program is for adults whose native language is other than English. ESL classes help students in the areas of speaking, reading, and writing English and give attention to both the cultural and linguistic needs of the students. This program also helps students to acquire the communication skills needed to succeed in the American community.

Registration includes an initial testing/placement assessment. ESL classes are offered at different sites throughout Edgecombe County, free of charge.
