What is IMAIL?
IMAIL is the free email service for ECC students. Click here to go to IMAIL.How do I get an IMAIL account?
New Imail accounts are no longer being created. Imail will cease to exist on July 31, 2008.
How do I access my IMAIL account?
There are several ways to access your IMAIL account as follows:
1. Web browse to http://www.edgecombe.edu and click on Student Email on the home page.
2. Web browse to http://mail.edgecombe.edu. This is useful when the ECC Web Server home page is down.
Once you get to the IMAIL login page, enter your User ID and password. If you have not changed your
password, then the default password is 12345.
If Account Created...
The User Id is....
Before November 15, 2004
lastname.firstname
After November 15,2004 lastname.firstname.x (where "x" is your middle initial)
Note: If you have no middle name, then an "x" will be used.
How do I report a problem with my IMAIL account?

After you log into your IMAIL account, click on Preferences, choose Change Password, then Save.What do I do if I forget my IMAIL password?
If your password does not work, try 12345. If 12345 does not work, contact Jeff Johnson or Neil Baker

What is my full email address in the IMAIL system?
Your complete email address is of the form: lastname.firstname.x@mail.edgecombe.edu.
Note: You can also use lastname.firstname.x@mail.edgecombe.cc.nc.us but the above is preferred.
Is my IMAIL account protected against viruses and spam?
Yes, the IMAIL server is protected by the Barracuda Anti-virus/Anti-Spam firewall.
