The Employee Handbook was prepared to provide a single reference for basic information to be  used by all employees.  The policies and regulations contained within this handbook provide the framework for the operation of the college. This handbook neither replaces nor supersedes the college's catalog.  The Edgecombe Community College General Catalog and the Student Handbook  are official college guides that contain the student policies and procedures.   All faculty and staff members are expected to study this handbook, the catalog, and the Student Handbook in order to be accurately informed about the overall college program.  

 Copies of the minutes of the State Board of Community Colleges and of the Edgecombe Community College Board of Trustees are available upon request from the President’s secretary.  Also, administrative and academic offices can supplement existing information as necessary; they should be consulted for guidance when questions of completeness or interpretation arise. 

 This handbook is continually updated as the need arises.  The last update of any section is indicated by a date in italics beside that section.
